Purbalingga is not a big city, so frequently people here just to pass, might be went to purwokerto, pemalang, banjarnegara,or other city. some times if time is running or they have many need in other city, they will find a shortcut road....here is many shortcut road beside the main street.
1. kembangan-panican road
actually it is the nation highway but many of them dont know that...because the bus doesnt thru here..this street still quiet street but now it getting busy, from banjarnegara after the boundaries...the second crossroad pick the left turn.then straight to penican market
2. jetis-jompo way (shortcut to sokaraja purwokerto)
it is a road that make the journey shorter about 15 minutes if compare with way thru the downstreet. if you came from banjarnegara and pass kemangkon you can enter this way......the gate is jetis tile center (creating tiles and brickstone)with traditional way.after fully adventure road..(because the road just like motocross circuit (2011)for the first crossroad pick the right way and enjoy the adventure journey....to get into jompo you should choose the biggest road....after pass toyareka, there is crossroad in gambarsari near the mosque just pick the straight way until blater crossroads pick the left way (biggest way)
so after 5 minutes there will reached jompo.
3.padamara way (shortcut to north purwokerto)...its a famous shortcut just follow the biggest one so you will reached purwokerto/baturaden.there some important crossroads here, padamara crossroad, sumbang crossroads, tambaksogra crossroads, pabuaran crossroads....in the first crossroad is only pass, second way there two way to reach purwokerto. the left is goes to dukuhwaluh and sokaraja, the right way is goes to upper sumbang and purwokerto (might be on ceheng waterfall).the third crossroads, there two important way, the left goes to ump (purwokerto muhammadiyah university) and the right way to purwokerto.
4.serayu-serang-kutabawa-belik-pulosari (pemalang)it is a tourism journey i think because actually is not a shortcut but if the direction goes to pulosari so pick this road....in this road there some location site that great to visit like serang strawberry plantation, serang jungle, little waterfall, vegetable market in kutabawa, slamet mountain climb gate, and Waliksarimadu in belik
5. gunung wuled-pandanarum banjarnegara.....this alternative way to pekalongan, or dieng (wah its still far) thru the natural forest with adventure road....
6. kejobong-rakit way (traditionally its already used for the local)
7. karang gedang-rakit way
8.wirasaba-klampok (tru the old train way) it used only max for motorcycle it can save about 5-10 minutes.
9.manduraga-dukuhwaluh shortcut....just follow the path offcourse with many turn and many climb road, pass the kramat village, this road will reach dukuhwaluh at banyumas.
10. kedungbenda-sokaraja this shortcut havent already make, about this 2-3 years it will connect by a bridge cross the klawing river if you want goes to banyumas from wonosobo or semarang it will save about half hour if you get thru here....but wait until the bridge is done.
